Africa Oud Supply is based in Gabon and assists international clients interested in importing premium agarwood (oud), Tabernanthe iboga and other natural aromatic botanicals.
In accordance with Gabonese regulations in force since 2010 prohibiting the export of unprocessed raw logs, our products are locally prepared in the form of sorted pieces, slivers, chips or fine powder. We do not export any material in the form of unprocessed raw wood or uncontrolled solid rounds.
Each request is subject to a thorough regulatory feasibility study based on the type of product, the available batch, the laws of the country of origin (Gabon) and the specific import rules of the destination country.
All agarwood species (genera Aquilaria and Gyrinops) are listed in Appendix II of CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) since 2004. Tabernanthe iboga is also subject to national export restrictions in Gabon.
Consequently, international export requires strict customs checks and the obtaining of specific permits. No batch may be shipped without the appropriate official documentation proving legal origin and environmental compliance.
To guarantee smooth customs clearance in your country, we prepare a complete documentary file.
Indicating the batch type, exact weight, Gabonese origin and agreed shipping conditions.
Detail of packaging, weighing and disposition of goods for customs inspection.
If required by the destination country, guaranteeing that the botanical material batch has been inspected.
Complete visual documentation of the actual batch before final packaging and customs sealing.
Official document attesting to the Gabonese provenance and the legal acquisition of the forest product.
Additional documents required under specific customs treaties linking Gabon and the importing country.
The client is required to verify in advance the import conditions of their own country (customs, ministries of agriculture/environment) before initiating any transaction. We cannot be held responsible for a customs hold due to a missing import authorisation required in the destination country.
